Marigold

Marigold

Saw this little guy while at the nursery helping my friend choose some flowers, and I had to get it. My mom's granny used to keep these and she (ma) was very excited at the prospect of me having one. :)

Gazania

I got a white one rather than the various colors on display because they reminded me of classic daisies, which in turn remind me of my brother.

Gazania
Jatropha

Jatropha

This was the first plant I purchased. I just think it's so beautiful, also hummingbirds like it... and I like hummingbirds. It'll grow to be very large, but I'm planning to prune it quite regularly to get it more shrub-like.

Lantana

Absolutely beautiful! Attracts all sorts of pollinators I absolutely adore. Ever since the day I first planted it, bees have been buzzing nearby. Coincidentally, one of my friends also has these!

Lantana
Salvia

Salvia

NOT the hallucinogenic kind. Also attracts pollinators, and is native to my area. Weirdly enough, has the softest little buds... I'd make a blanket out of them.

Firecracker Bush

AMAZING for hummingbirds! Mine isn't quite full yet, but has a few new blooms.

Milkweed

Milkweed

A true classic. You cannot escape this plant. Monarchs will soon be invading every square inch of it. Also native!
